Where it All Started

When I first met my now-husband, I knew almost instantly that he was the man I'd end up marrying. I remember leaving our first date thinking, honestly, "Uh oh". I can't tell you why I came to that conclusion so quickly but honestly I'm so grateful for him. He is a wonderful husband and father and I learn something from him every day. He is the smartest person I know and it's wonderful to watch our daughter learn and follow after him.

When we got engaged, it was very easy... almost too easy. It was an effortless transition from 'boyfriend' to 'fiancé'... and even easier to refer to him as 'husband'. I think the hardest part of the whole process, for me anyway, was waiting. I always felt like I was just waiting for the next step in our lives.

1) Our first Christmas together (2013) 2) Our first "photoshoot" 3) Catniss and Annie (our fur babies the day we rescued them) 4) Our wedding day (2015)

By the time we got married, we had already lived together for a while (which came to be because of a car driving into my townhome in LA... which I plan on elaborating on later!) and moved to a different state. We had two cats, Catniss and Annie, that we basically considered our children and had started working on our career paths. Both of us knew we wanted more out of like than working the jobs we got when we got to Colorado... so we gradually were able to find jobs that made sense and allowed us to save for our future.

Now - we've been married nearly 7 years and have a 2 year old daughter. It's hard to believe that it's been that long... but I'm so thankful to have him and our little family. I couldn't ask for anything better.
